Radiotherapy Specialist
Dr. Mihaela Sandu is a Radiotherapy Specialist and is part of the Amethyst Piatra-Neamț medical team.
Experience
She has participated in numerous specialization courses, both in the country and abroad, in the field of radiotherapy, gaining experience in modern irradiation techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS. Throughout her residency, she has gained experience with a wide range of oncological pathologies. She is currently following a master’s program at the Transilvania Faculty in Brașov, focused on palliative care, with the aim of developing a more complete approach to the management of the oncological patient, including personalized treatments for pain control.
Affiliations
She is a member of the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the National Society of Medical Oncology of Romania (SNOMR).
Education
He graduated from the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, pursuing specialization studies at the Iași Regional Institute of Oncology.
Areas of interest
Radiotherapy for curative and palliative purposes in breast, gynecological, genitourinary, digestive, cerebral pathology, ENT, hematological, benign pathology requiring radiotherapy, as well as stereotactic radiotherapy.
