Documents required for admission

You need the following documents:

Patient category	The document to be presented by the patient
Ensure to whom the card has been issued	National health insurance card
Insured who refuse the card for religious or conscience reasons	Certificate of insurance for persons who expressly refuse, for reasons of religion or conscience, the receipt of the national social health insurance card (valid for 3 months from the date of issue)
Insure who have been issued a health card but cannot present it for the following reasons: loss, damage, theft or technical failure of the card	Certificate of replacement of the national health social insurance card until the duplicate card is issued (valid for 60 days from the date of issue)
Insureds who, after consulting the Health Insurance Information Platform (PIAS), it turns out that they do not have an issued card	It is not necessary to present any documents! The PIAS platform query result is printed or saved in electronic format
Insured beneficiaries of the European Health Insurance Card	European Health Card
Children aged between 14-18 years	Identity document, respectively birth certificate for children under 14 years old
Persons who present a replacement card or certificates, but who, after consulting the Health Insurance Information Platform (PIAS), show that they are not insured	It is referred to CNAS in order to obtain insured status. They will later present the insurance certificate certifying that the person in question is insured in the Romanian social insurance system.
