The Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre in Timisoara opened its doors in July 2021.
Together with the Centre in Bucharest and the Centre of Excellence in Cluj, it offers the IMRT-VMAT treatment technique, one of the newest and most advanced radiotherapy solutions for cancer.
The services offered by Amethyst Centre Timisoara are: medical oncology, radiotherapy and medical imaging (Computer Tomography), psychological and nutritional counselling. The radiotherapy laboratory is located on the ground floor of the building where the Synergy Platform linear accelerators, manufacturer Elekta Limited, used for external radiotherapy treatments are located.
A Philips Medical Systems Nederland B.V. Brilliance Big Bore CT scanner is located in the X-ray exposure room.
On the upper level there are 4 medical oncology wards equipped with 22 recliners.
