Primary Care Physician and Nutritionist/Dietician
Dr. Irina Mateieș is a Primary Care Physician and nutritionist/dietician, and has been part of the Amethyst team since 2014.
Experience
In the Amethyst clinic the priority of the nutrition service is to determine the risk of malnutrition, to help patients set their nutritional goals and provide practical suggestions to help patients achieve them, to help manage the side effects of treatment.
Memberships
Dr. Mateieș is a member of ESPEN (European Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition) and has completed training courses organised by ESPEN: 22nd ESPEN Course of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolic Care; LLL Courses: Nutritional Support in Cancer, Approach to Parenteral Nutrition, Approach to Oral and Enteral Nutrition in Adults.
Education
She completed the specialty of family medicine in 2008 and the Faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hațieganu” in Cluj-Napoca in 2012.
