Radiotherapy Specialist
Dr. Kacso Alex has been a specialist in radiotherapy since 2024 and has been part of the Amethyst Cluj team since 2021. He completed his residency within the same institution, where he had the opportunity to develop professionally in a multidisciplinary environment with access to advanced technologies and modern treatment protocols. He currently contributes actively to the care of patients with oncological conditions, being involved in the planning and delivery of personalized radiotherapy treatments.
Experience
He has participated in numerous prestigious international courses and conferences in the field of radiotherapy and brachytherapy, where he deepened his knowledge of the most modern treatment methods. Among the events he attended are: the ESTRO Congress (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology) – Glasgow 2024, GEC-ESTRO – Prague 2024, ESTRO – Vienna 2025, and the FSTMO Forum – 2025.
Education
He graduated from the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, and completed his training at the “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Oncology Institute in Cluj-Napoca. He further enhanced his professional development with an internship at the Cancer Institute of Montpellier (ICM) in France. He is currently a PhD student at the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
