The Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre in Alba-Iulia is the 4th centre to open in Romania, in December 2021, in a modern clinic at the foot of Mamut Hill.
Together with the centres in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara, the Amethyst Alba-Iulia centre offers one of the newest and most modern radiotherapy techniques for cancer treatment, namely the IMRT-VMAT treatment technique.
The medical team, consisting of radiotherapy specialists dr. Noemi Besenyodi, dr. Andreea Marița and dr. Dorin Ordean, under the coordination of the Medical Director of Amethyst Romania, Prof. dr. Kacso Gabriel, uses state-of-the-art medical equipment, the radiotherapy laboratory being equipped with a LINAC accelerator, Infinity, brand Elekta Limited, along with a CT scanner brand Simenes – Somatom GO.
For us and for our patients, a new Amethyst centre represents a new chance to treat cancer, offering radiotherapy and medical imaging services, free of charge, paid for by CNAS.
