At Amethyst Cluj, eligible patients can access, through CNAS, radiotherapy services including brachytherapy, medical oncology treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormone therapy, as well as CT and MRI scans. Access depends on the medical indication, the documents presented and, for imaging, on the available funds.

Our team brings together radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, medical physicists, radiotherapy and radiology technicians, nurses who monitor treatment toxicity, medical oncology nurses and clinical pharmacists. The team also includes a psychologist, who supports patients throughout treatment, and a nutritionist, who provides nutritional counselling tailored to their needs.

Effective cancer treatment requires several specialists working together. At the Amethyst Cluj centre, patients' cases can be reviewed by a multidisciplinary board, where doctors from different specialties discuss the treatment options and agree on the treatment strategy.

The Amethyst Cluj centre has its own closed-circuit pharmacy, where cancer medication for chemotherapy and immunotherapy is prepared by specialised staff, under controlled conditions, individually for each patient, according to the treatment plan set by the doctor.
The treatment is prepared in the same clinic where it is given, in day hospital care. Patients do not have to look for cytostatic drugs in pharmacies around town, which reduces the risk of delays between sessions.
