Dr. Tiberiu Popescu

Dr. Tiberiu Popescu is a Radiation Therapy Specialist and joined Amethyst in 2017.

Experience

Member of the Amethyst Cluj clinic team starting in 2017, throughout his residency, and subsequently as a specialist. He has participated in courses abroad (Rome, Cambridge) and with papers at European (ESTRO) and American (ASTRO, Chicago 2019) society congresses. Oncology fellowship as a student (IRCAD Strasbourg, European Oncology Institute of Milano).

Education

Graduate of UMF “Iuliu-Hațieganu” Cluj-Napoca, with specialization studies at the Oncological Institute “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” in Cluj-Napoca. PhD student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hațieganu” Cluj-Napoca and part of the Department of Radiotherapy.

Memberships

Member of the European Society for Radiotherapy (ESTRO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). Representative of the Young Romanian Radiotherapy Residents Group in relation with ESTRO during the residency.

Areas of expertise

Breast, CNS, urogenital, digestive tract (rectal) and brachytherapy tumours.
